I am not qualified as a food stylist, but I guess I always had a natural feel for food and proportions as my enrolment to the University of Stellenbosch started with Visual Arts which I later changed to B. Ed Home Economics. I found the prospect of being the “Lady from the Potato Board who experiments with different potato recipes for the rest of her life” much to constrictive and didn’t complete my studies. I suppose in a warped way this category is where I’m fulfilling and expressing what drew me to that faculty.
