Vona Corona

I love finding little hidden gems. There is very little that affords more opportunities to explore and experience new things such as travel. 

On a recent visit to Mauritius with my family, a local friend of mine on the island, introduced me to what I can only explain as HEAVEN IN A CUP!

At first, when Melonie introduced me to “Vona Corona” ice cream, I admit I was a bit sceptic! But oh my goodness. How do you explain this delicacy in words where it is a total taste sensation?

Think the creamiest ice cream you’ve ever tasted, with a scoop pistachio, coconut-pineapple jam (the red part), strawberry and some kind of other pure utter magick. I can not imagine anything more delicious! It really calls me back to the Island! 

We managed to get it twice while on the island (it’s not available everywhere) but I will be prioritising more stops on my next visit!
